Head of Reward, UK&I - 12 month FTC (maternity cover)

Flutter is looking for a Head of Reward to lead reward and benefits across UK&I. The role is for 12 month maternity cover and will sit within the UK&I People Leadership Team. They will partner with the UK&I CPO and work closely with the Flutter Global Reward team to develop, deliver, and manage relevant reward solutions and practices.

Our Global Reward Team is part of the larger People team and is responsible for Total rewards which encompasses Executive Compensation, Share Plans, Job Architecture, Talent Mobility, Benefits, and broad-based reward across Flutter Group.

The successful candidate will provide leadership to a team of 4 and be a trusted reward partner to the UK&I HR Business Partners, wider HR team, and senior partners. They will critically evaluate reward strategies within the division to meet the changing needs of the business and provide expert advice to leadership to ensure processes and awards are fair and equitable in line with the reward strategy.

Key Accountabilities                 

  • Lead the reward team providing clear goals and objectives

  • Create and maintain strong partnership with the UK&I HR team and key business partners

  • Deliver the annual remuneration review process across UK&I

  • Provide analysis including modelling bonus outturn, compensation gap to market, global gender pay gap analysis etc.

  • Recommend, implement and review ongoing compensation strategy

  • Job evaluation and levelling within UK&I, ensuring consistency across functions

  • Ensure regular benchmarking and market related pay research is undertaken to ensure our understanding of the positioning of our roles is maintained

  • Ensure accurate governance process in place regarding compensation changes, supporting HR Business Partners and managers in making decisions

  • Educate and upskill the HRBPs and business on the Group’s approach to Reward, ensuring governance processes and frameworks are understood and respected

  • Handle bonus plans – updating of rules, communication of plans and ensuring data is accurate. Work with finance on modelling financial outturns.

  • Maintain and develop the Total Reward portal and communication

  • Plan and propose the budget for UK&I reward activities, share plans and global mobility

  • Support Remuneration Committee preparation

  • Deputise for the People Services Director as required
