Your team
As a Software Engineer on the Racing Technology Team, you will be directly involved with the delivery of innovative solutions that provide Racing Product to our customers across all 3 of Flutter UK & Ireland's brands - Paddy Power, Betfair, Sky Betting and Gaming.
The team works closely with quantitative analysts and the trading department to automate the creation of Racing Product to ensure we provide our customers with a compelling proposition in a timely fashion. You will be working in a greenfield development environment working in AWS and with the latest technologies helping us define high level solutions and be given the opportunity and freedom to help define the future shape of an evolving platform.
What you’ll do

Responsible for the design and development of trading applications in C#, making use of industry best practices

Write optimized, multi-threaded code and having an understanding of the broader business for architecting solutions.

Daily, our talented and highly motivated engineers face complex and varied challenges, which require aptitude, collaboration, innovation, technical knowledge and a “can do” attitude to address
How you’ll do it

Experienced in C# and .NET Core

Using AWS, Docker or Kafka

Knowledge of design patterns and strategies

Experience with automated unit, integration and end-to-end testing

Passionate about building applications and systems the right way, with customer experience at the forefront of that.

You’ll knowledge share and support other Software Engineers within your squad and the wider tribe. You’ll be passionate about developing others and creating an inclusive working environment.
