Technology Assurance Manager

Your team

The Assurance team at Flutter UK & Ireland form part of the Risk Management & Assurance function and are responsible for championing and protecting the delivery of our regulatory and business requirements. This is achieved through the delivery of a risk-based assurance plan, promoting effective internal controls and risk management, and providing guidance to the business on assurance, governance, and control process improvements.

The Risk Management & Assurance function are in the early stages of forming a Tech Assurance team and as a result an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technology Assurance Manager to join the growing team within Flutter UKI.

What you’ll do

• Working closely and assisting the Senior Manager and the team in building and embedding a Tech assurance framework across UK&I (Paddy Power, Betfair, Skybet & Paddy Power Retail).

• Working closely with partners across Technology and Group functions, owning the day-to-day activities of the Tech Assurance team.

• Lead and coordinate the planning, preparation, and completion of multiple assurance projects across the division following defined methodology and timelines. Assisting the teams on projects where required.

• Analyse data to make informed conclusions and identify unmanaged risks using test data.

• Implement and maintain reports and/or tests that will provide ongoing assurance of controls

How you’ll do it

• Solid understanding of IT controls (e.g., security, change management, data centre, infrastructure etc.) including accurate design and implementation.

• Background in Audit, Risk, or a similar role.

• Knowledgeable in cloud architecture (AWS, GCP or Azure), operational frameworks and security controls.

• CISA, CISM, CISSP qualification or equivalent would be desirable.

• Strong analytical and technical auditing skills.

• Advanced understanding of internal controls, including accurate design and implementation

• Experience in the recruitment and development of a team with a strong focus on talent retention, inclusivity and development.
