Senior Manager - Product Delivery

The Retail Technology team are responsible for all technology solutions deployed in our retail stores across UK & Ireland.

This role is responsible for leading a team that manages the product delivery at our Retail Head Office.

We are looking for a proven customer centric leader to lead this key team. Reporting to the Head of Retail Technology, you will bridge technical and business worlds as you deliver on objectives and priorities for our retail business.

You will understand our retail business and the technical challenges our retail colleagues face daily in delivering our renowned Paddy Power customer experience in store.

What you’ll do

  • In conjunction with Retail Commercial and Operational teams, strategize and propose ideas and solutions that lead to improvements in our product offering to our end customers and our shop colleagues.

  • Continuously strive to improve product delivery processes to decrease cost, increase speed of delivery and improve product quality and functionality.

  • Implement engagement processes and stakeholder management practices to maintain and develop working relationships (internal and external) with a view to delivering the best possible product experience.

  • Responsibility for the Retail Product Portfolio with the need to prioritise accordingly and engage with group portfolio functions in relation to delivery, resource, and cross functional initiatives.

  • Lead, coach, mentor and motive a team to deliver on the responsibilities outlined above.

  • Host and facilitate where appropriate workshops and requirements gathering sessions (locally and internationally)

  • Management of 3rd party vendors contracted to PP, to deliver on best-in-class technology to our shops.

How you’ll do it

  • At least 5 years in a technology or product management role with direct people management experience, ideally within a fast-paced retail sector

  • At least 5 years’ experience of product delivery

  • Strategic thinker with ability to blend technical, operational, and commercial considerations into clear decisions

  • Operational track record of getting things done, bringing teams and vendors along the journey

  • Influencer: strong ability to lead, inspire, engage and coach a diverse multi location team and create an inclusive culture across geographical boundaries
