Media & Marketing Planning Manager

The Betfair Media & Planning Manager has the responsibility of leading on the full media planning process, ensuring we’re buying the highest quality media campaigns to support our Sports & Gaming products. You will also be required to work with multiple internal partners across CRM, Acquisition, PR, Brand Strategy and Social & Content to be responsible for budget forecasting and tracking, produce regular reporting and tie together planning so we can deliver a comprehensive view of our marketing campaigns to the business.

Location: We are open to London/Leeds/Dublin

  • Work hand in hand with the Head of Sports Brand and Head of Gaming Brand to develop and refine a multi-channel communication strategy, including analysis and identifying key opportunities for optimisation.

  • Work with our media agencies to plan and manage media spend & ensure campaigns reach our defined audience.

  • Driving innovation within our media plans. Experimenting with new channels and placements.

  • Support the creation of monthly messaging plans across key media channels and distribute to broad partner group.

  • Work closely with external & internal partners to ensure campaigns deliver to set budget & the whole finance process runs smoothly.

  • Maintain the full year budget, coordinating with different partners to ensure smooth running of budget

  • Over the monthly reporting process to generate findings from previous activity and apply them to future campaigns across the marketing mix

  • Collaborate with wider Marketing functions to tie planning together and deliver a long-term view of what & how each department will deliver for the business

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Experience in a similar role, or agency experience

  • Experience in planning and buying media  

  • Excellent internal & external communication skills.

  • Numerate & Data Savvy: Data driven by default, able to interpret trends.

  • Effective & efficient stakeholder management

  • Experience in leading a team. 

  • “Make things happen” – a pro-active, can-do attitude

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail

  • Customer Obsessed - championing the needs of the customer.

  • Able to deliver at high-pace in-keeping with the sporting calendar.

  • You don't need to be an expert in sports, gaming or betting, but a passion to learn is great
