Reporting into the Director of Procurement, The Head of Procurement is a leading role in developing and delivering the commercial strategy of the Flutter UK&I business in the Trading and Customer Operations space, in particular data, streaming, payments, fraud and customer experience. Part of the UKI Procurement Leadership Team, be responsible for c.£300m of third party spend per annum across all brands within Flutter UK&I, which includes Sky Betting and Gaming, Paddy Power and Betfair UK. You will work closely with Trading, Marketing, Product, Legal, Compliance and various operational teams. You will be responsible for establishing and handling external relationships at a strategic level, and driving the commercial needs of the business with a range of third parties.
What you’ll do

Set the strategy and direction for all key Content & Customer suppliers across Flutter UKI, working closely with other brands in the group to ensure we use our scale where possible.

Play a leading role in how we mitigate a constantly evolving landscape, leading on initiatives and strategies to mitigate cost challenges.

The subject matter authority for all strategic Content & Customer related contracts.

Build and maintain a strong relationships with C-Level partners.

Build up and positively maintain commercial relationships with new and existing partners across the Content & Customer portfolio, ensuring we have adequate governance in relation to critical suppliers.

Conduct regular communication and engagement with multiple internal business owners to identify and deliver against agreed negotiation priorities.

Critically appraise and negotiate current and proposed deals, with the goal of always securing the best commercial terms for Flutter UKI.

Drive the commercial evaluation of new content and opportunities, based on industry and competitor analysis.

Conduct strategic negotiations with partners, while continually aligning with internal partners, to progress agreements to signature stage and operational handover.

Lead a small team of commercial/category managers, setting clear direction, ensuring they are challenged and developed whilst delivering key outcomes for the business.
How you’ll do it

Experience of running the end-to-end procurement lifecycle in a complex commercial environment, from requirements gathering to contract execution.

Experience working within a commercial, sporting or e-commerce environment.

Experience of complex commercial contracts, preferably in the sports/gaming industry.

Display strong skills in commercial modelling, including revenue share and turnover share models.

Experience of leading teams in a matrix environment.

Experience of building and maintaining relationships with C-Level partners, with an ability to influence and drive improvements.
Display excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills. -
Display strong social skills, time management skills and sound judgement.

Display ability to learn quickly, adapt to new scenarios and navigate fluidly developing situations with ease.

Display experience of, and confidence with, effectively handling and developing internal and external relationships with senior/leadership stakeholders.
