Flutter UKI shortlisted at gradireland Recruitment Awards

This year saw record-breaking applications for the Flutter UK & Ireland Graduate Programme. Over 10,000 graduates from all over the UK, Ireland and beyond applied for our Commercial, Tech and Finance streams.

Behind the scenes, a small but mighty team across Early Careers, Employer Brand and Talent Acquisition take on the mammoth task of preparing, advertising, assessing and recruiting our wonderful Graduate talent.

This year, we were delighted to be recognised and nominated in the gradireland Graduate Recruitment Awards 2024. Flutter UKI were shortlisted for;

• The gradireland Graduate Employee of the Year

• Graduate Employer of the Year (intake over 40 in the current year)

• Best Student Marketing Campaign

Within these categories we were up against incredible and very large organisations including KPMG, PepsiCo, PWC, Deloitte and many more. To have been considered against these industry giants is a phenomenal achievement of which we are incredibly proud.

One of these awards you may notice is not like the others! The Graduate Employee of the Year award.

We'd like to tell you more about our gradireland Graduate Employee of the Year Nominee: Grainne Boyle

A dynamic member of our Commercial Graduate Stream, Grainne had been assuming the position of Product Manager during her most recent rotation. A role within UKI that is three job grades above a graduate role – which is commendable in itself!

Under the mentorship of the Head of Strategic Projects and with support from Senior Managers, Grainne has been spearheading the strategic vision and operational success of an exciting new pilot project within our division. We’re keeping the specifics under our hats for now, but rest assured, this is no small feat!

Grainne has led the introduction and integration of Quantum Metrics into this project, which has allowed the team to unlock real-time insights into customer behaviour within our applications and uncover valuable trends. Her leadership of this implementation has influenced the pilot projects strategic direction, as with this data she is able to provide insights that shape and inform the leadership team’s direction and helps drive meaningful change to enhance our customers experience and fuel revenue growth.

Grainne's impact on the pilot projects trajectory has been transformative. Her proactive approach to acquiring the data required changed the game entirely for the future direction of the project.

Congratulations Grainne on being shortlisted for this award, we are delighted to share that upon completing the programme, Grainne has already been offered another position within our division – and she will be heading over to our friends at tombola to join their team as a Product Executive. Well done Grainne – we can’t wait to see where your career with Flutter UK & Ireland goes from here!
