Flutter Partners With LTU To Deliver Digital Skills Programme

Leeds Trinity University has partnered with cutting-edge tech giant Flutter to launch a new digital skills programme in West Yorkshire. 

Flutter UK & Ireland, home to several well-known UK brands, including Sky Betting & Gaming and Paddy Power, and employs over 5,000 people in the UK and 27,000 colleagues across the world, will contribute its digital expertise to the free three-day educational course taking place this September.

Hosted at both Leeds Trinity University’s City Campus at 1 Trevelyan Square and Flutter's local Leeds office in Wellington Place, the venture represents a collaborative effort to benefit the wider community. 

Geared towards over 18s and mature students seeking a new job or a different challenge, the Digital Skills programme will offer 30 participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in both corporate and academic environments. They will benefit from the digital expertise and insights of key personnel – including direct access to IT equipment and advice on how best to build and leverage their social media presence, in addition to insider tips on how best to impress an employer directly from Flutter's talent acquisition team.  

They will also get help with identifying and creating a portfolio of their personal skills, understanding the various roles those skills could be applied to, and the value of networking.

The three-day digital skills programme will take place in person, from Tuesday 2 to Thursday 4 September. Spaces for the programme are limited, and applicants can apply via the Leeds Trinity University website.

The new digital skills programme underpins Leeds Trinity’s contribution to the growing tech and digital skills pipelines in the Leeds and West Yorkshire region, as well as its strategic commitment to social justice, so that everyone who studies, works and engages with the University is able to thrive.
